Terms and conditions

Hearing Aids London, 12 Devonshire Place, Marylebone, London W1G 6HS. Last updated 28 August 2026. These terms govern website use, appointments, sales and our UK price-match.

1. Who we are

We are an independent private clinic. We are not the NHS, not a manufacturer, and not owned by Phonak, Oticon or any other brand named on this site. Brand names are trademarks of their owners.

2. Website information

Prices, model names and “from” figures are guides for a typical adult fitting in 2026. They are not a binding offer. A written quote after your hearing test is the price that applies. Stock, colours and demonstration models vary.

3. UK price-match

If you hold a written quote from another UK clinic for the same aid, same technology level, same warranty length and equivalent aftercare, dated within 14 days, we will match it or beat it by £50 per pair, subject to:

• The quote is for a private (not NHS or staff) purchase. Compare the amount you would actually pay (see VAT note).
• It is on company letterhead or a dated email from a UK-registered clinic, with the model code shown.
• It is like-for-like (charger, moulds and aftercare period included on both quotes).
• It is not a membership club, flash online-only, damaged-stock, staff, or “while stocks last” price we cannot obtain from our supplier.
• We remain able to buy the instrument from an authorised UK supplier at a viable margin. If we cannot, we will say so in writing and will not complete a loss-making sale.
• One price-match per purchase. We may ask to see the original quote.

This is a like-for-like match, not a claim that every product is the cheapest in the United Kingdom.

4. What prices include

Unless the quote says otherwise: hearing assessment, fitting, charger on rechargeable models, and the aftercare visits stated on your invoice. Batteries for disposable-cell aids, spare receivers, and extra moulds may be extra. Finance, if offered, is subject to status.

5. Free hearing test

The test is free and does not require you to buy. Results are explained in clinic. We may decline or postpone a test if wax, infection or medical red flags need treatment first.

6. Appointments

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to change a booking. Repeated no-shows may be refused future appointments. Home visits (including housebound patients and care homes) cover Greater London where travel from Marylebone is practical, plus Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Reading and nearby postcodes we confirm when you book.

7. 60-day trial

Selected private aids include a trial of up to 60 days, confirmed in writing at fitting. Return is allowed if the instruments are complete, undamaged and hygienically acceptable. Custom moulds, used consumables and a reasonable handling fee (stated on the quote) may be deducted. The trial is not a rental and does not apply to every model.

8. Aftercare and warranty

Manufacturer warranty is as stated on your invoice. Our aftercare is the review schedule we agree at sale. Loss, theft and accidental damage follow the manufacturer or insurance terms, not an unlimited clinic guarantee.

9. Clinical care

Website copy is general information, not a diagnosis. Fitting is a clinical service. We may refer you to your GP or ENT. HCPC or relevant registration details are given at appointment.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. We are not liable for indirect loss (including lost earnings) arising from website use or a delayed appointment.

11. Privacy

Website forms and clinical records are handled as set out in our privacy note.

12. Complaints

Write to 12 Devonshire Place, London W1G 6HS or email hello@hearingaidslondon.org. We aim to reply within 10 working days.

13. Trade-in

Allowances on old private hearing aids are confirmed after inspection and apply only if you complete a new purchase with us. NHS instruments cannot be traded. Combined discounts are shown on the quote.

14. Aftercare period

Scheduled review appointments for two years are included with new private fittings unless the quote says otherwise. Consumables, loss and accidental damage are extra.

15. Finance

Any credit is provided by a third-party lender, subject to status. We will not describe a rate as 0% until that product is live on a written quote.

16. VAT

Guide prices and quotes are the amount you pay us for that fitting. We do not add a surprise VAT extra at the till. Ordinary hearing aids are not generally zero-rated as disability goods (HMRC Notice 701/7). The invoice shows the legal treatment of that supply. Details: VAT, self-employed and benefit in kind.

17. Law

English law applies. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
